Lanka IOC extends support to needy families

As a part of ongoing efforts to support country’s endeavor to mitigate the unprecedented challenge from the scarcity of essentials and economic meltdown, Lanka IOC further stepped up its commitment towards social upliftment.


It embarked on an effort to distribute hygienic dry ration packets to numerous needy families of the societyat St. Lucia Cathedral, Kotaehena, Colombo. 


Speaking on the occasion, Manoj Gupta, Managing Director, Lanka IOC PLC said the ongoing initiatives are in line with nation’s current need for fighting challenges of economic meltdown and scarcity of food items.
“During this unprecedented time, when inflation on food items have gone above 30 percent, people are finding hard to fulfill their daily needs. We always endeavor to connect with society through our various CSR activities,” he said.


Gupta extended heartfelt thanks to management of the Church for giving this noble opportunity and assured them for continued empathy and assistance to the best possible in extending such help. 
Rev. Father Ronnie Wickramasinghe at St. Lucia Cathedral and local community extended thanks to Lanka IOC for coming forward during this very hard time and taking care of very needy families.


Lanka IOC conducts many such programs for upliftment of society by way of donation of medicine, equipment to hospitals, distribution of sanitizers to police department, stationery to school children etc.
As a part of its ongoing efforts to support the country’s endeavour to mitigate the challenges of the Pandemic, recently Lanka IOC came forward in the distribution of 100 Samsung make new smart phones to Ministry of Education.


Lanka IOC has been donating hygienic dry ration stuff to numerous families of Sri Lanka Welfare Society of the Blind Women (SLWSBW) and has also been consistently engaged in providing the stainless steel foot peddle hand wash sinks, digital thermometers, sanitizers, liquid hand wash bottles and KN95 kids masks to the various schools in the Western Province.
