Lanka Ice Group of Companies, a leading player in the fisheries industry in the North Western province has entered into hotel and restaurant business by launching ‘Clements Chilaw’.
Plans are also afoot to construct seven chalets within this year.
“The experience which we have gained in catering and the restaurant in Wattala will help us to flourish in the hospitality business,” said Lanka Restaurants and Caterers Group Human Resources Director and Director Operations Upeksha Fernando.
“We will also use our social media skills and the link which we have with a number of celebrities to promote our new restaurant in Chilaw and the new hotel which we have planned to construct,” he added.
What is special about Clement Chilaw is the fresh produce served at the restaurant grown by the company itself.
The mother company of Lanka Restaurants and Caterers, Lanka Ice Group of Companies comprise of 14 ice plants which have made a mark in the fisheries industry. The group is a family business.
Clements Chilaw was inaugurated by State Minister Sarath Nishantha.
