NDB Bank Celebrates World Children’s Day with NDB Shilpa Children’s Savings Account

In celebration of World Children’s Day, NDB Bank, the pioneer in banking has once again reintroduced the art of savings to our future generation via the Shilpa Children’s Savings Account.

Under the slogan “A gift for play and gift for study” the Bank has always made an effort to make the art of savings a day to day activity, while assisting parents in furthering the education of their youngsters. For instance, with the Shilpa Children’s Savings Account, NDB rewards the winners from recognized exams for a maximum of 90 days. Similarly, children who excel in exams such as the Grade five Scholarship exam will be given a cash reward of Rs. 100,000 each if ranked 1st to 5th place, while 6th to 10th place achievers will be given Rs. 50,000 each.

Meanwhile those who excel in the GCE O/L exam will also be rewarded with Rs. 350,000 for all-island 1st place, 250,000 for 2nd, 200,000 for 3rd with Rs. 150,000 for 4th place and from 5th to 10th places Rs. 50,000 each.

The Bank is also interested in the wellbeing of both the parents and the child and thus will provide a Life Insurance cover for the parent/guardian depending on the account balance. Further a hospitalization cover of Rs. 2500 per day will also be provided where the benefit is doubled if the patient is in the ICU.
