To enhance the cooperation and friendship between China and Sri Lanka, the China Foundation for Peace and Development (CFPD) donated epidemic prevention materials to the Pathfinder Foundation (PF) to help Sri Lankan people in their battle against the COVID-19 pandemic.
The first batch of items donated were 5,000 surgical masks (non-sterile) worth of 14,000 RMB. The masks meet with the Sri Lankan health authority standards.
The PF handed over 4,000 masks to Sri Jayawardenapura General Hospital Dr. Director Rathnasiri Hewage and 1,000 masks to Pinnawala Intermediate Treatment Centre for COVID Patients RHO Dr. Hansika Hanthanapitiya.
The purpose of the CFPD is to support the relevant bodies and organisations to participate in international exchanges and cooperation, international public welfare activities and to promote world peace, development and common prosperity. The Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka facilitated the transfer of the donation of surgical masks between the PF and CFPD.
