People’s Bank donates medical equipment to SBSCH for 60th anniversary

The People’s Bank Officers’ Association, as part of the bank’s ongoing social responsibility initiatives to mark the 60th anniversary of People’s Bank, donated medical equipment to the intensive care unit (ICU) of the Sirimavo Bandaranaike Specialised Children’s Hospital (SBSCH) in Peradeniya.


Ranjith Kodituwakku - Chief Executive Officer/General Manager of People’s Bank, Dr. Aruna Herath - Paediatric Respiratory Disease Specialist and Head of the COVID Unit of the SBSCH, Dr. Sarath Weerabandara - Director of the hospital, Dr. Sumith Munaweera, Mahinda Premanath - Deputy General Manager - Channel Management, Nalaka Wijayawardana - Head of Marketing, Buddhika Ranatungage - Regional Manager - Kandy, K.M.P.P. Kulatunga - Peradeniya Branch Manager, all of People’s Bank, together with the hospital staff participated in the event.


As part of the ongoing series of social responsibility activities organised to celebrate People’s Bank’s 60th anniversary, earlier this year, two portable ultra sound scanners were also donated to the COVID-19 ICU of the National Hospitals in Colombo and Kandy.
