People’s Bank supports weeklong Pirith ceremony at A’pura Mirisawetiya Stupa

Pirith recital taking place and the offering of Gilanpasa to the Maha Sangha by Ranjith Kodituwakku - Chief Executive Officer/General Manager of People’s Bank

 

A week-long Pirith recital was carried out at the historic Mirisawetiya Stupa in Anuradhapura to invoke blessings for the battle to eradicate the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic in Sri Lanka and the world. 


People’s Bank supported the Pirith recital held on 11th September, which was the fifth of the seven days.


The ceremony, which was conducted in accordance with the health guidelines, was held under the patronage of Chief Incumbent of the Mirisawetiya Temple Ven. Ethalawetunawewa Gnanatilake Thero. People’s Bank Director Keerthi Goonatillake, Ranjith Kodituwakku - Chief Executive Officer/General Manager, D.M.D. Dissanayaka - Regional Manager (Anuradhapura) and E.M. Tissa Kumara - Anuradhapura Branch Manager also participated in this event.
