Pyramid Wilmar wins Green Building Award

The eco-friendly warehouse complex, constructed based on green design by Pyramid Wilmar (Pvt.) Ltd, a leading manufacturer, distributor and marketer of edible oils and fats in Sri Lanka, won the Green Building Award. 


It was awarded at the Green Building Awards Ceremony hosted by the Green Building Council of Sri Lanka. This operates under the auspices of the World Green Building Council, which works with over 25,000 organisations in over 100 countries.


The Pyramid Wilmar Warehouse Complex located at the Muthurajawela Industrial Park won the award for its adoption of the green concept. They recognised factors such as the use of eco-friendly raw materials, recycling of waste, proper disposal of waste, as well as the use of natural lighting and ventilation through the adoption of green design and a lush environment. 
In addition, the installation of solar power systems on the roof of the building generates renewable energy.
