Quickson Motors owner Sanath Goyan Jayaratne receives award
Quickson Motors, Matara, a pioneer in the field of automotive spring manufacturing in the south, won the Silver award in the automotive and related products category, at the Industrial Excellence Awards organised by the Industrial Development Board (IDB).
The awards ceremony was held under the patronage of President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa and Industry Minister Wimal Weerawansa, at Waters Edge. It has been seven years since Quickson Motors, a manufacturer of high-quality automotive steel bows and related accessories, rebranded itself. However, it was first established by U.A.S.P. Jayaratne 50 years ago. He was succeeded by his son Sanath Goyan Jayaratne, a young entrepreneur, who along with his mother Indramali Wanigaratne took his father’s business in a new direction. His role as a young entrepreneur as well as an industrialist, who was constantly innovating and developing the business, has been the main reason for this success.
Quickson Motors previously imported automotive bows and springs from India and sold them locally. Today, however, Quickson Motors manufactures and distributes automotive accessories of international standard in Sri Lanka, thus marking an important step in the business. All spring repairs and installations can be done mechanically through Quickson Motors.
“The main reason for becoming a company that has won the trust of the customers through the manufacturing of high-quality automotive products is our dedication towards achieving business objectives. I offer my gratitude to all the customers who have placed their trust in us and I would like to acknowledge our dedicated staff members,” said Quickson Motors owner Sanath Goyan Jayaratne.
