The Sri Lanka Shippers’ Council implemented a book donation project where the mission was to join hands with CINEC to distribute the first Logistics Sinhala textbook titled ‘Logistics Sinhalen’ to rural schools in Sri Lanka.
‘Logistics Sinhalen’ was published by CINEC Maritime Campus. The book has been endorsed by many academia, professionals, and organizations in Sri Lanka and overseas including the National Library of Sri Lanka. The book has been awarded the formal license by the Ministry of education to be used as a library book in schools.
The event was held on the February 28 at the Governor’s Secretariat, Anuradhapura.
The Governor of the North Central Province Maheepala Herath graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The Message from the Governor of the North Central Province stressed the importance of enhancing the knowledge of school children on logistics and appreciated the efforts taken by the Council.
