The Strathspey Estate, Upcot managed by Maskeliya Plantations PLC celebrated the International Women’s Day (IWD) for the 9th consecutive year.
Managed by the subsidiary company of Arpico Group of Companies, the ladies who have been providing unblemished service to this plantation i.e. state bank staff, Grama Nildhari, PHDT Health Manager/Mobilizer, Midwives, Police WPCs were honoured at a colorful ceremony organized by the estate.
The Best Leaf Operators who have been harvesting exemplary quantity of green leaf and who tirelessly contribute to bring foreign exchange to the country from all six divisions too were honoured.
They all were awarded with a memento recognizing their hard work and dedication. The estate staff such as clerks, Child Development Officers too was given prominent recognition at this function. Free food pack was distributed to the gathering especially to those who retired from service after providing genuine service.
