Arpico opens 17th Superstore at Kottawa

The Arpico retail chain in Sri Lanka opened its latest Superstore in Kottawa recently, making it the 17th hypermarket in its portfolio.The new store located at No: 296, High Level Road, Makumbura, Kottawa offers 10,000 square feet of retail space.It was ceremonially declared open by Professor Lakshman R. Watawala, Group Director of Richard Pieris & Company PLC.
The Kottawa Superstore retails a wide variety of products such as fast moving consumer goods (FMCG), fresh produce, household items including plasticware, kitchenware, glassware, giftware, linen and garden products, mattresses and cushions, car care products, toys, rubber products, electronics and furniture. The new Superstore offers more than 50 parking slots for customer parking.
Customer convenience and product variety have enabled the Arpico Supercentres and Superstores to gain a competitive edge, the company said. These outlets offer wider aisle space for easy shopping and are equipped with state-of-the-art cool rooms to provide fresh products.
The Arpico Chain now comprises of 61 outlets -17 Arpico Supercentres and Superstores, 29 showrooms and 15 Arpico Daily mini supermarkets. The Arpico Supercentres, the company’s flagship outlets, also offer ample parking, bill payments, banking facilities, lifestyle needs and the widest collection of products ranging from household goods, electronic appliances to kitchenware and furniture, with the promise to shoppers that they are the most convenient shopping destinations in the country.
