ATL Life celebrates World Children’s Day

ATL (Amana Takaful Life) recently partnered with the Balangoda Divisional Secretariat to host an event for the local pre-schools in the area, to celebrate World Children’s Day which fell on the 1st of October. The event was held under the theme ‘The role that parents play in the upbringing of their children’ and was a fun filled day, which saw the attendance of Amila Wijerathne, Assistant Divisional Secretary, Reyaz Jeffrey – CEO, ATL Life, staff of ATL Life, pre-school children from nearby schools and their parents.
The theme for the event ‘The role that parents play in the upbringing of their children’ aimed to highlight the importance of early development in children and how parents and the environment parents create for their children at home, play a vital role in their children’s upbringing. The event consisted of a talent show, art competition and fun games, and winners received special gifts sponsored by ATL Life. A felicitation was also held to recognize and appreciate pre-school teachers for the role they play in ensuring the development of children, followed by a Q&A session with the parents.

Though schools play an important role in bring up children and providing them with a good education, parents play an important role in their upbringing as well. We hope this event was educational, enlightening and fun for all the parents and children.”
