Flydubai begins Mattala services

The Dubai-based budget carrier Flydubai officially launched its services to Sri Lanka’s second international airport in Mattala yesterday.

The first Flydubai flight SZ 551 arrived at Mattala at 7:05 a.m. The airline will operate three flights per week from Dubai to Mattala.

The frequency of flights is expected to be increased to four days a week from July.

The only other international airline which flew to Mattala, Air Arabia has temporarily suspended flights to Mattala.
