Mobitel bags the prestigious ‘Service Brand of the Year’ award at SLIM Brand Excellence 2013

National Mobile Service Provider Sri Lanka Telecom Mobitel in its vision to lead Sri Lanka towards an info-com and knowledge rich society, through its service offerings has yet again confirmed its commitment to its customers by winning the prestigious ‘Service Brand of the Year’ Award at the 12th  SLIM Brand Excellence 2013 held on Wednesday.

Organized by the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing, the SLIM Brand Excellence Awards is a highly anticipated event in the Sri Lankan marketers’ calendar. The ‘Service Brand of the Year’ award is judged on: overall brand health and brand equity, brand process in terms of brand strategy and brand performance in overall growth of market share and revenue.

Mobitel has won a string of prestigious SLIM Excellence Awards in the past including ‘Brand of the Year’ for 2010, a gold award for ‘Service Brand of the Year’ for 2009 and 2010 along with a silver award for the year 2008. A gold award for the ‘Innovative Brand of the Year’ for 2008 and 2010 and a bronze and a silver award respectively, for the ‘Turnaround Brand of the Year’ for 2008 and 2010. In addition Mobitel also bagged the gold award for the ‘Best New Entrant of the Year’ for 2008 and 2009.
