Seylan Bank powers ‘Maris Motor Rally 2015’

Seylan Bank sponsored the recently concluded Maris Motor Rally, one of the most anticipated events in Negombo.

The Bank has been a part of the Maris Motor Rally over the past three years and its partnership and affiliation with the rally has grown from strength to strength, while continuing to add value to the event in multiple ways.

The Motor Rally which is organized by the Old Boys Association of Maris Stella College in partnership with Seylan Bank, helps the Bank in amplifying its leasing services while interacting with its current and potential customers and providing a fun, festive atmosphere for vehicle enthusiasts, their families and friends

The recently concluded motor rally had a full day of exhilarating activities including a fun and challenging rally route spanning Negombo and prizes and surprises for the participants including 6 return air tickets for the winners, 1st runners-up and 2nd runners-up teams comprising driver and the navigator. Valuable prizes were given away to first ten finishers. Approximately around 100 vehicles took part in the fun rally while drivers received complimentary gift packs courtesy of Seylan Bank. The Bank also conducted a leasing promotion at the event and increased awareness of the value additions offered by the bank and its leasing solution to customers, vendours and vehicle dealers.

This annual event is a sellout success and the most sort after Motor Sports event in the Western Province, North of Colombo. Major part of the success belong to our sponsors such as Seylan Bank and of course the rest is the appeal for the TSD (Time, Speed and Distance) rallies among the motor sports lovers where this version of the game not only compete among each other under normal traffic laws of the land but also challenges themselves by trying their intellectual capabilities while having fun along the way.

A total of 2500 people thronged to Negombo even from Colombo and suburbs to partake in the fun and festivities at the beach front award ceremony where the day’s proceedings culminated with an evening mega beach bash with the band ‘Doctor’ , B&S and DJ music  at Jetwing Blue sands, Negombo further the event was made colorful with many fabulous dance acts by a bevy of professional dancers, a crackling fire work display etc; Thanks to Seylan Banks and other valuable sponsors, I must say that MMR 2015 was a phenomenal success and hope to partner with them in the next season “The MMR2016”.
