Sri Lanka’s leading consumer durables retailer, Singer, recently capped the country’s largest lifestyle exhibition by announcing record attendance figures for the three-day event at the BMICH.
With over 60,000 exhibition-goers checking out over 1,000 products, the event was an opportunity for families to explore all of the world-class brands under Singer’s umbrella. The turnout was evidence of the esteem and brand loyalty enjoyed by Singer in Sri Lanka.The Lifestyle Fiesta was ceremonially declared opened by Singer Asia President/CEO Gavin Walker, Singer (Sri Lanka) Chairman Hemaka Amarasuriya and Singer (Sri Lanka) CEO Asoka Pieris, each of whom took the opportunity to take in the festivities and talk to shoppers. The event also drew hundreds of vendors, who were offered stalls at nominal rates and made use of the opportunity to market their products to a captive audience.
The latest global technologies in electronics and appliances were part of an extensive portfolio of products showcased at the Singer Lifestyle Fiesta, which also included furniture and computers. Brands such as Singer, Sisil, Hitachi, Skyworth, Samsung, TCL and Huawei displayed their latest offerings at the exhibition, giving Sri Lankans a chance to experience the latest in lifestyle trends. This was also an opportunity for Singer to launch and showcase the latest additions to the Singer brand portfolio such as Sony, Sharp, Beko and Dell.Attendees were excited about getting a firsthand look at some of the world’s most impressive technologies. The newest mobile phones from Huawei, Sony and Samsung were on display, flaunting smart styling and powerful performance.
Samsung showcased its Curved Ultra High Definition (UHD) TV, which provides picture quality four times better than full HD, wider viewing angles and a greater sense of depth. The brand’s all-new Smart Refrigerator is the world’s first food showcase refrigerator, conveniently giving users a quick look at the contents of their fridge.
Singer previewed its 55” 4K Ultra HD curved TV, a stunning example of future-forward design and incredible picture quality. The new television will be launched in early 2015, joining a portfolio of cutting-edge products from Singer. The latest Singer Geo and Sisil Eco refrigerators were also on display at Singer Lifestyle Fiesta 2014, along with a number of other energyefficient appliances.
Sony’s stall at the event showcased the brand’s state-of-the-art products, including its 65” 4K UHD TV, which wowed exhibition-goers with over eight million pixels. The Sony Shake Hi-Fi audio system with Near Field Communication was a hit with audiophiles but the brand’s 70” television was the highlight of the stall.
One of the latest additions to Singer’s portfolio of brands, Dell Computers, had a stall at the fair for the first time. The computer technology giant displayed its latest line of Vostro 360 touch-enabled desktops, which were available with chipsets ranging from Pentium to Core i7 processors.
The Sharp AQUOS Quattron Pro television, on display at the brand’s own stall, captivated audiences. The product promises an experience ‘beyond UHD’ and judging by the throngs of attendees who flocked to experience its incredible picture quality first hand, it delivered on that promise. The Sharp stall also featured its innovative Plasmacluster air purifiers, which remove contaminants from living environments in order to enhance everyday life.With attractive discounts on showcased products, Singer Lifestyle Fiesta 2014 was an opportunity to purchase Singer’s world-class brands at unprecedentedly low prices.
