The following story is making rounds in political circles these days

A tank had been dug close to an airport in a bid to ensure an unfailing source of water supply for dousing a sudden fire that could break out at the airport.

The tender for the sale of the earth dug out from the proposed tank site had been awarded to the son-in-law of a political authority handling the subject of air travel.

After having finished removing the earth dugout at the tank site, the son-in-law had begun digging up the earth at another place on the sly to continue his business and had in the process seriously damaged an underground cable.

And the gang engaged in digging up earth had done the vanishing trick with the heavy machinery they were using when they discovered that they had damaged the underground cable.
And the task of effecting necessary repairs to the cable has now fallen on the airport authorities, they say.
