There is a notorious racketeer with links to underworld, active in the maritime area in the South. He is also involved in a cattle racket. 

When the man’s henchmen were  driving away a herd of stolen cattle, khaki personnel had arrested them and taken the herd of cattle too into their custody. 

Later, the racketeer, who had approached the chief of the khaki personnel, a buddy of some political authorities in the area had offered him a huge bribe and got both suspects and the cattle released.

The story how the racketeer had struck an underhand deal with the khaki chief spilled by the culprits themselves had later reached the ears of the higher authorities who had reportedly instituted an investigation into the incident. And the khaki chief who seems to be sure of the political clout he wields is bragging that he is not afraid of any inquiry against him, knowledgeable sources say.
