There is no end in sight so far to the protracted battle over the leadership in the Green party, they say.
The pro-Punchi Dasa faction who decided that enough was enough had issued an ultimatum to the leader that either he should go yielding place to their man or they would go a separate way.
Peace-makers in the party is said to be now back in action with a new burst of energy to build a bridge of understanding between the leader and the contender. Their latest strategy is to arrange one-on-one meetings between the leader and each of the pro-Punchi Dasa seniors.
However, the pro-Punchi Dasa seniors have begun giving the peace-makers the slip. They avoid even answering telephone calls from peace-makers, they say.
So, the peace-makers have found themselves staring at a blank wall, they say.
