Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT), the national ICT solutions provider and the leading Digital Lifestyle Service facilitator in Sri Lanka, launched an exceptional SLT Calendar 2020 recently.
Over the last 15 years, Sri Lanka Telecom brought the value, beauty, reflection and pride of Sri Lankan culture and nature to the public through the annual calendar, in divers of artistic traditions. To continue this great effort and also to gift extraordinary artistic value to its valued customers, Sri Lanka Telecom is honoured to present the “Narration of Art” as the calendar theme for the year 2020 in order to re-emphasize the value of art as a mean of projecting historical background and evolution of paintings together with different artistic approaches for the future generations.
The Art is vital to all humans, as it improves one’s creativity skills, joy, confidence, plus communication with other people and expression of emotions. Most importantly, it works as a language that relieves stress of people living in highly demanding modern world. Further it stretches opportunities to showcase talents of many accomplished individuals.
Even the ancient historical man’s main medium of unleashing his thoughts was a series of paintings which are now being found in many archeological sites around the world. This amazing exercise caused an evolutionary change in world history and paintings can be interpreted as one of the greatest expressions of humans. For thousand years, almost all the civilizations have been applying diverse art forms and techniques and thus painting has grown stronger day by day in the hands of artistic painters and creators.
Sri Lanka Telecom as the leading national telecommunications provider of the country has been assisting the development and enrichment of art and culture continuously. At present, SLT’s contribution in elevating talented local artists was a fruitful effort with the launch of thematic calendar of 2020. At the same time SLT firmly believes that it owns a dire obligation to be a part of the social development of the country where we are gifted with unique skills and creators. The caring effort in presenting and adding value to art and culture are also noticeable social responsibilities we have to be committed in order to create a renowned motherland that will be affluent with art and cultural facades.
As a groundbreaking entity in Sri Lanka, SLT is delighted to showcase gifted talents of Asitha Amarakoon, Chathuranga Gamage, Gayathri Adikari, Lakisha Fernando, Manohari Hewage, Mewan Fonseka, Pulasthi Ediriweera, Ravindra Rathnasiri and Sandamali Kamalchandra with the launch of remarkable SLT’s 2020 calendar.
