AIA Insurance congratulates the winners of Sri Lanka’s Most Admired Companies 2019, for being recognized not just for their financial performance but also the value they create for their shareholders, customers, employees and the wider community. AIA commended the 25 companies that were awarded this esteemed accolade- for proving their mettle with consistency, authority and sustainable growth, creating excellent business performance.
This was the second consecutive year that AIA was the Platinum Sponsor of the Awards, organized by The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and the International Chamber of Commerce Sri Lanka (ICCSL).

AIA CEO Nikhil Advani commented, “AIA is the world’s largest life insurer and celebrates its centenary this year. Our core philosophy has been around doing the Right Thing, in the Right Way and with the Right People. We take pride in being associated with this event, which honours and recognizes business excellence and ethics. We place honesty and integrity in the highest esteem and are delighted to recognize reputed companies that share our values in generating value for their shareholders, customers and the community.”

He added, “it’s also noteworthy that all three sponsoring bodies, namely AIA, CIMA and ICC are all celebrating their centenary this year! It is indeed significant that the Most Admired Companies of Sri Lanka Awards are backed by entities with such a history and heritage, which speaks volumes about the credibility and standing of the awards.”

AIA’s Director & Chief Officer Legal, Governance and External Relations, Chathuri Munaweera added, “With over three decades of experience doing business in Sri Lanka, AIA is a key player in Sri Lanka’s corporate sphere. We are respectful of companies that succeed financially, but more so, through sustainable and ethical value creation. It is our pleasure to be a part of applauding such companies on their admirable performance and contribution to the local economy”.

ICCSL Chairman Dinesh Weerakkody noted “ICCSL values its professional relationship with AIA and were happy to have them on-board as Platinum Sponsor for the second year running. As a sponsor, AIA could not contest for the awards but as a company AIA most certainly upholds the values of excellence required to be associated with an event of this nature.”
