AIA Insurance’s top performers recognized at the Annual Sales Convention

Held under the theme ‘Moving Towards Mastery’, this year’s AIA Annual Sales Convention was held at the Shangri-La Colombo. 1200 Wealth Planners and Wealth Planners’ Managers from across the island convened to recognize and celebrate AIA’s top performers. The winners were recognized for their commitment and dedication to going above and beyond their call of duty in serving AIA’s customers and emerging on top of their game. 

The highlight of the evening was the four awards given out to recognize the best performers of 2018. This year’s winner of the ‘Best Wealth Planner Award’ was Chandima Wanniarachchi from the Kurunegala Area Development Office (ADO), while N Gunawardena (Pilimathalawa) and Maddrakini Thakshila (Moratuwa ADO) were 1st and 2nd Runners Up, respectively. 

The ‘Best Wealth Planners’ Manager Award’ was won by N W Nilantha Senarathna Bandara from Kegalle Region 2. M D Thuraj Aponso (Colombo Region 5) was the 1st Runner up while Duminda Weeratunga (Colombo Main) was 2nd Runner Up. The ‘Best Distribution Unit Head’ was Channa Dunusinghe from Kegalle Region 2, while Heman Kumara (Moratuwa Region 1) and Eresh Silva (Negombo Region 1) were 1st and 2nd Runners Up.  

Meanwhile, Vinol Rajitha Priyasenarath from the Moratuwa ADO won the ‘Best Area Development Office Manager Award’, with Dileepa Ameendra (Tissamaharama ADO) coming in as 1st Runner Up and Y G G B Yatigammana (Mawanella ADO) coming in as 2nd Runner Up. 


AIA also awarded the ‘Best Upcoming Wealth Planners’ of the year 2018 to Upul Chrishantha Mendis from Negombo Region 2 (Male) and Gomika Wijerama from Moratuwa Region 1 (Female). 

Ransilu Sumudu Perera from the Moratuwa ADO was recognized as the ‘Best Upcoming Wealth Planners’ Manager-Male’, while Priyanthi Dias also from the Moratuwa ADO was recognized in the female category. 

The theme ‘Moving Towards Mastery’ was intended at highlighting AIA Wealth Planners’ commitment to mastering the art of helping Sri Lankans protect themselves and their families, while providing the very best of solutions, service and advice to AIA’s valued customers.
