The Selection Committee of the Netball Federation of Sri Lanka (NFSL) announced a 12-member squad to participate in the 13th Asian Senior Netball Championship 2024 from October 18 to 27 in Bengaluru, India.
Chairman of the Netball Selection Committee Padma Beddewe revealed that the final touring squad will be submitted for Sports Ministry approval through the National Selection Committee.
16 countries are set to participate in this tournament, which will be conducted by Asian Netball.
The teams that have confirmed their participation are Sri Lanka, Singapore, Malaysia, Maldives, Japan, Iran, Iraq, India, Saudi Arabia, Brunei, Thailand, Hong Kong, Bahrain, Pakistan, Philippines and Chinese Taipei.
The final selection trial was held at the University of Kelaniya Indoor Stadium.
The Sri Lanka Netball Squad: Dulangi Wannithilaka (Captain), Gayanjalee Amarawansa, Gayani Dissanayaka, Thishala Algama, Hasitha Mendis, Rashmi Perera, Shanika Perera, Gayathri Kaushalya, Malmi Hettiarachchi, Suseema Bandara, Sachini Rodrigo and Chalani Neesha.
Standbys: Minagi Kankaninge, Nathasha Dias and Anuththara Kaluarachci.
