This transition follows Sri Lanka’s successful hosting of the previous Roundtable, which focused on fostering unity and dialogue among Buddhist nations. The current Roundtable is themed “Dharma and Milk come from the same origin, uniting the world,” emphasizing collaboration and the propagation of
Buddhist teachings.
The event saw distinguished attendees, including Chinese and Thai officials, and recognized Sri Lanka’s contributions in setting a high standard for the international Buddhist community. Leading up to the Kathmandu Forum on December 13, the Roundtable aims to strengthen ties between Buddhist nations and promote peace and spiritual growth.
The ceremony was graced by distinguished attendees from both religious and diplomatic spheres, including: Chen Ruifeng, Director of the State Administration of Religious Affairs of China, Han Zhiqiang, Chinese Ambassador to Thailand, Phra Pongmasiti, Deputy Monk King of Thailand and Mari Sayanphong, Thai Minister of Foreign Affairs.
