India’s Divya Ungrish bagged the Girls’ Singles title of the ATF Under-16 Week 1 Tennis Championship when she defeated Sri Lanka’s Bovindi Jithsara in the final played at the SLTA Courts in Green Path, Colombo yesterday.
However, Bovindi struck back to take sweet revenge when partnered by Yuhansa Peiris clinched the Girls’ Doubles title by coming out on top in a hard-fought win in the final.

Boys’ quarter-finals: Brishman Balachandran (Sri Lanka) beat Dehan Wicmramasinghe (Sri Lanka) 6-3, 6-0. Ashlin de Silva (Sri Lanka) beat Sithija Peiris (Sri Lanka) 6-1, 6-1. Rehan Gunawardena (Sri Lanka) beat Risith Somaratne (Sri Lanka) 6-2, 5-7, 6-3. Methika Wickramasinghe (Sri Lanka) beat Sashen Premaratne (Sri Lanka) 6-1, 6-2.
