CH and FC and Navy Sports Club would look to register their first win for the current season when they clash in their Dialog Inter-Club ‘A’ Division League Rugby Tournament fixture at the Racecourse Grounds in Reid Avenue on Thursday.
The Sailors came close to beating Kandy in their second match but failed to do so by just two points while Havelock SC and Police SC had comfortable victories against them.
Meanwhile, former Vijaya College, Matale player Pradeep Ranaweera and Nugawela Central College player Ruwantha Jayathunga are set to make their debut for Navy SC.
Despite defeats, Navy SC third-row of Adeesha Weeratunga, Gihan Perera and Radeesha Seneviratne performed well and with the support of their Fijian player Seru Cavuilati they would look to secure their maiden win of the season.
CH and FC led by Rohitha Rajapaksa have not performed to their best of their potential securing just one draw against Army SC while losing to Havelock SC and CR and FC.
