Inter-School Rugby: S. Thomas' lead Wesley, St. Peter's ahead against Royal, Dharmaraja 10-00 up on Trinity

S. Thomas' College took a 11 points to 7 lead against Wesley College in their Dialog Under 20 Schools Rugby match in Mount Lavinia, while St. Peter's and Dharmaraja also led in their matches. 

The Thomians took an early 06-00 lead, which they extended in the 19th minute when they scored the first try of the game, which went uncoverted, in the 19th minute. 

C Nimsara took advantage of numerical advantage, after a Thomian player was sent to the sin bin, to cut down the gap to four points when he scored a converted try in the 31st minute to carry the momentum into half-time. 

At Bambalapitiya, St. Peter's College put over a penatly to take a 3-0 lead at half-time, with the Royalists missing a penalty of their own late in the first half, to level. 

Royal repeatedly breached the Peter's 22-metre line, but a combination of strong defence and handling errors meant the Royalists failed to chalk up any points. 

Dharmaraja scored a converted try and a penalty to take a 10-00 half-time lead against Trinity College at Bogambara. 

Sadeesha Weerawansa scored the try for Dharmaraja with Ucitha Wijayarathan converting and putting over a penalty.
