Former Sri Lanka Captain Mahela Jayawardene, now with the Mumbai Indians Team in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), yesterday participated in a meeting on Skype, arranged by Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) to discuss the development of school cricket in Sri Lanka.
In fact, Jayawardene and Roshan Mahanama are the two key figures involved with SLC in connection to the development of school cricket in Sri Lanka.
"On the basis of the discussions we had today, these two former players will submit their recommendations and the report," a source close to SLC told the Daily Mirror yesterday.
The meeting lasted for more than three hours and was attended by Tim McCaskill, the Head of National Cricket Development at SLC and Thilak Waththuhewa, the Principal of Nalanda College.
