Osada Upekshana of Vidyartha College and Yoshini Jayawardane of Mahamaya, Kandy were selected as the Boys’ and Girls’ Most Outstanding Player respectively at the Central Province Open Ranking Table Tennis Championship, conducted by the Table Tennis Academy, Kandy and held at the Municipal Council Indoor Stadium in Kandy.    

Results: Under-7 Boys’: Gavidu Nethmira (Dharmaraja) beat Cheniru Kumarasinghe (Kingswood) 11-3, 11-3. Under-7 Girls’: Viduni Chanara (Central College, Hanguranketha) beat Esandi Andarawewa (Hillwood) 13-11, 10-12, 11-3. Under-9 Boys’: Hassan Zaman (Springfield, Kandy) beat Hussain Zaman (Springfield, Kandy) 11-9, 13-11. Under-9 Girls’: Hirudya Abeykoon (Girls’ High School, Kandy) beat Thisumi Attanayake (Mahamaya, Kandy) 7-11, 11-6, 11-6. Under-11 Boys’: Kalana Nilupul (Kingswood) beat Kavith Dahamika (Ecole International) 11-7, 11-5. Under-11 Girls’: Aveesha Herath (St. Anthony’s Girls’ College, Kandy) beat Thinithi Hapuarachchi (Mahamaya, Kandy) 6-11, 11-8, 11-5. Under-13 Boys’: M. H.
