Pakistan ‘A’ players celebrate a dismissal   


Sri Lanka ‘A’ built up an overall lead of 221 runs at the end of the third day of the first four-day unofficial Test match against Pakistan ‘A’ at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi yesterday.

The visitors, resuming from their overnight score of 77 for one, went on to pile up 364 for nine thanks to half centuries from Ahan Wickramasinghe (53), Skipper Pasindu Sooriyabandara (64), Pavan Rathnayake (60), Sonal Dinusha (62 n.o) and Wanuja Sahan (73).

Sri Lanka ‘A’ lost their overnight pair of Wickramasinghe and Dhananjaya with the score at 87 but Sooriyabandara and Rathnayake held the middle order together with a third wicket stand of 126 runs. 

Dinusha and Sahan further frustrated the home side with a stubborn 130-run partnership for the eighth wicket.
