Sri Lanka's national cricket team physio Brett Harrop is not part of the Sri Lanka set-up for the tour of South Africa after testing positive for Covid-19, it is learnt.

According to highly placed sources at Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), the 42-year-old Harrop had tested positive earlier this month and had not joined the team hotel.

"He did not join the bio-bubble and has not been with the squad", a source said this morning.

"He is now in quarantine but may be fit enough to be with the team for the three T20Is,” the source added.

He has been replaced by the Ajantha Wattegama.

Dr. KAP Kiriella, who was with the team on the West Indies tour has now rejoined the present squad, it is also learnt.

The other notable member joining the team hotel and the bio-bubble is the chief selector Pramodya Wickramasinghe.

The Sri Lankan team was given an off-day on Monday. On Monday morning they assembled in the hotel for a photo-shoot.
