The Nestle Nestomalt Half-Marathon, conducted by the Ministry of Education in conjunction with the All-Island School Games was held at Dambulla.
In the Boys’ 5km road race S. Thudiharshigan of Hindu College, Matale won the event followed by I. H. K. Madusanka of Kamurawala National School and G. L. N. D. Liyanage of Akuramboda MMV in second and third place respectively.
The 5km road race event saw the participation of over 300 runners from the provinces around the island.
