Sri Lanka's most in form all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga is injured and is out of contention for the 3rd ODI against India on Friday.
The 24-year-old Hasaranga underwent an MRI scan and it is confirmed that he has a soft tissue injury.
The injury he got while fielding the other day.
Sri Lankan team management has added two new players in the squad for the series against India, it is learnt.
According to the highly placed sources in the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), Udith Madushan and Suminda Lakshan, who were practising in Dambulla have joined the team hotel in Colombo on Thursday night.
The 24-year-old right-arm medium pacer Udith Madushan is brought in considering the other pacer Kasun Rajitha, who is unfit.
Kasun Rajitha didn't practice with the other players at the ground on Thursday and was seen the whole day with ice-pack treatment.
Both uncapped players- Suminda Lakshan and Udith Madushan were not originally picked in the 25-member squad approved by the sports minister and later announced by the SLC.
"Considering the forthcoming T-20I series against the visiting Indian team, two players have been added", the source further added.
Kusal Perera is already out for the T-20Is and rehabilitating at home, while it is still not confirmed whether Binura Fernando would be fit for the remaining matches.
Suminda and Udith, both 24, have played 27 and 14 First Class matches.
