The Association of Retired Flag Rank Officers (ARFRO) in Sri Lanka came into being in 1996 as a result of an invitation from the Worldwide Consultative Association of Retired Generals and Admirals (WACARGA) to participate in their activities. Senior Officers from some 40 countries joined this association, which met occasionally to discuss matters of professional interest.
It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that I join you in celebrating t h i s prestigious event. The ARFRO Masterminds Competition holds immense significance, as it not only aims to improve reading skills but also strives to broaden the knowledge spectrum of our Armed Forces.
The Ranaviru Family Counsel ing and Support Services (RFCSS) is an organization formed in 1988, affiliated to the Association of Retired Flag Rank Officers (ARFRO).The membership of RFCSS consists of families of servicemen killed in action during the three decades long conflict in Sri Lanka.
It is with great pleasure I avail this opportunity to issue a message for the ARFRO Masterminds Competition - 2023 in which officers of Armed Forces compete with each other under the banner ‘Unleash the Brilliance in You”. I am truly delighted, and it gives me a profound sense of pride to organize this event which is being held for the second time under the auspices of the Association of Retired Flag Rank Officers.
