The 11 alliance members who have sat independently in Parliament have refused to meet President Gotabaya Rajapaksa for discussions on an interim government, the Daily Mirror learns.

The second round of discussions were expected to be held between the President and the alliance members today but their refusal has not resulted in a deadlock. (JH)
