A gas pipeline connected to a chlorine tank exploded at the Kalutara Industrial Zone factory this morning leaving 11 people including three employees injured, the police said.

The injured who suffered burnt injuries were rushed to the Nagoda General Hospital.

Eight villagers were among the injured in the explosion. All factory employees were evacuated. (Supun Dias)
