18 asylum seekers nabbed in Chilaw
At least 18 persons were taken into police custody while waiting to flee to Australia illegally in Munneswaram, Chilaw in the early hours today, police said.
Five more suspects, who reportedly planned the journey also taken into the police custody. Suspects are to be produce before the Chilaw magistrate court today.(Jude Samantha)
