199 police officers contract Covid-19 in WP: Ragama Police OIC also positive

At least 199 officers attached to police stations in the Western Province have been tested positive for Covid 19 as of today.

A total of 258 officers in the Western Province had been sent for quarantine centres while the number of officers referred to self-quarantine is 1,350.

Meanwhile, the OlC of the Ragama Police Station also tested positive for Covid-19.

A total of 383 Covid-19 patients were reported yesterday. Among them, 168 cases were reported from Colombo District, 157 from Gampaha and 24 from Kalutara District.

Twenty-one cases were also reported from the Police.

please safe guard the police first by doing random PCR not confined to WP but through out the country because it will be deadly dangerous than the fish market, garments and Navy camps .
