2.4 magnitude tremor recorded in Buttala
A minor earth tremor of 2.4 magnitudes on the Richter scale was recorded by the Seismic Monitoring Center at the Geological Survey and Mines Bureau (GSMB) last night.
They said the minor earthquake was reported from Buttala at a depth of 1km.
According to the Seismic Monitoring Center, the tremor occurred 154 km from Colombo. (Chaturanga Pradeep Samarawickrama)
