22 Lankans sent to Papua New Guinea

A group of 22 Sri Lankan nationals who arrived by boat to Australia were transferred to Papua New Guinea (PNG) on Thursday, the Australian Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) said.

It said that the charter flight, escorted by the Australian Federal Police, DIAC staff, interpreters and medical staff, departed Christmas Island on Ttursday evening.
The group arrived in PNG today and was transferred to the regional processing centre where they will be accommodated while the PNG Government processes their refugee claims, it added.

People never learn. Was the money they spent worth it, they will be sent back and will be paupers after spending everything they had. Hope the rest will open their eyes and see the futility of it.

they will have a tough holiday there.now time has passed for refugee status and try for rich country passport.travel agents are folling the less onowledgeable people to get rich by short cut.it is no worth now for to sail on sea by highly risk boat sailing.ot os a close death and no worth at all.with $30,000 one pay for the trip,better do a small business with the money,its better than this foolish attempt.
