I was attacked by wasps when I climbed Sigiriya some years ago with my cousin brother & his British born wife, one wasp had gone inside my ear, had to drive upto Dambulla hospital to take it out and for treatment, thereafter I was unconscious for some hours. I escaped death due to Gods mercy. When I went to Tourist board in Colombo to inform some short comings & lack of help, I was chased away by a high ranking offer, Yes very soon there would be a Travel warning for Tourists visiting Sigiriya. Then it would be too late...

this is really bad impression about srilankan tourism , and wasp sting is more dangerous if they got severe allergies. that is better to provide safety dressing or covering kit to people when they climb the sigiriya. its urgent
