At least two people were killed and 40 injured when a private bus travelling from Dikoya in Hatton to SalanKandaplunged down a 200-foot precipice, police said.


Among the injured were 22 males, 11 females and seven children.


Police said they were admitted to the Dikoya Base Hospital while two of them were later transferred to the Nawalapitiya Hospital.
