45 election law violation complaints: PAFFREL

Colombo, August 3 (Daily Mirror) - The People's Action for Free and Fair Elections (PAFFREL) reported that a total of 45 complaints related to violations of election laws have been received during the run-up to the Presidential election.

PAFFREL Executive Director Rohana Hettiarachchi said most of these complaints involve the misuse of state power.

At every election hundreds if not thousands of complaints have been received regarding violations of different natures. Is it worth forwarding complaints because no action seems to be taken, resulting in heaps of files being gathered. What remedial action this time around?
