Over 75 kilograms of heroin packed along with potatoes have been found from a freight container at Kochchikade, Negombo today, the Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) said.

It said seven suspects including a Pakistani national were arrested over the heroin packed container which had been imported from Pakistan.

The PNB officials had seized the container following a tip-off received subsequent to its release from the Customs. (Darshana Sanjeewa Balasuriya)

Great good job.... We should screen all food containers arriving to Colombo from all parts of the world. THE police drug sniffing dogs should be definitely used for this job. Do you remember drugs which came to Colombo port with the sugar?? What happed to that case?

Why do you guys always find some fault in the government/nation, it seems to be that criticising is easier than working for the betterment of the country so understand that the officials are trying their best to end crimes.
