8-month-old baby among injured in Bandaragama accident



Colombo, July 01 (Daily Mirror) -  The Bandaragama police report that seven people, including two young children, were injured in a head-on collision at Maragas Junction in Galthude on the Bandaragama-Kalutara Road.

The crash involved a van carrying a group of people and a car. An 8-month-old baby and a 2-year-old boy were among those injured, according to police.

The driver of the car, who allegedly caused the accident, fled the scene. Police discovered a wallet containing a driver’s license, believed to belong to the driver, near the front seat of the car.

Police are currently searching for the suspect. The injured have been taken to the hospital for treatment.
