At least 85 persons were arrested when the Police raided five illegal gambling centres in Pettah last night, the Police said. The gambling centres were located along the Olcott Street and Malwatta Road in Pettah.

These type of gambling have been going on for decades. It happens in the big cities, suburbs and villages. At least the money stays in this country. What about the ones that are going to be run by the likes of Packer and company? The money will go out and who will be the loser then?
