ACMC to reveal its stand on Presidential election next week

Colombo, August 7 (Daily Mirror)- MP Rishad Bathiudeen who stressed the need to safeguard the present status of the economy said his party’s stand on the Presidential election 2024 will be revealed on August 14, 2024.

“Both, the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) candidate Sajith Premadasa and President Ranil Wickremesinghe have sought our support but we will decide on August 14,” the ACMC leader told the media.

“We also feel that the present status of the economy has to be safeguarded and should not be destroyed,” he added.

His stance is very clear. As we believe he will definitely support RW. Besides ACMC has a strong vote base specifically in Puttalam district and the northern part of the country. Further this will be the the turning point of the forthcoming presidential election. Therefore as assumed NPP may have a chance to win the election by exceeding the SJB

This type of politics is another major setback for SL. Basically, there should NOT be any political party representing a religion, race, etc. All people of SL should be registered only as Sri Lankans. There can be any type of political party representing any ideology, economic principle etc. but should be formed to represent all people of SL. Differences should be on their ideology, principle etc. Hope SL will come to that situation soon.

Those who failed to achieve any progress, nor did they felt the need to rescue the poor Island, neither they felt that the economy was crashing; are now very keen to takeover the readymade cake to destroy and rob of its progress. The people must understand that those who could not rescue us are now demanding our ballots to sit and eat. Their poor knowledge in economics will take us back to queues and blackouts.
