Colombo, November 20 (Daily Mirror) - Despite requests from several parties to postpone the 2024 GCE Advanced Level (A/L) examinations, the Education Ministry announced today that it cannot be delayed, as all preparations have been finalised to conduct the exams as scheduled.

Accordingly, the GCE Advanced Level (A/L) examinations will be held from November 25 to December 20, 2024. 

In a media release issued on March 1, 2024, the Department of Examinations confirmed that all preparatory work for the exams, including the printing of question papers, establishment of regional collection centres, coordination centres and examination centres have been completed.

Despite this, various parties have continued to request a postponement, prompting the attention of the Ministries of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education to these appeals earlier.
