Ali Sabry to attend Munich Security Conference in Germany

Colombo, Feb 14 (Daily Mirror) - Foreign Affairs Minister M.U.M. Ali Sabry is to participate in the 60th edition of the prestigious Munich Security Conference (MSC) in Germany on Friday (16), the Ministry said.

The objective of participating in the conference is to help build trust and contribute to the peaceful resolution of conflicts by fostering continuous, curated and informal dialogues within the international security community.

Minister Sabry will address the conference session on “Protecting Global Commons” on Saturday (17).

During the visit, Minister Sabry will engage in meetings with his counterparts from a number of countries, parliamentarians, and business leaders as well.

This is how they waste dollars earned by our women in middle east doing hard work there. When there is an ambassador why this fellow attends the conference ,what sort of a useful contribution he could make for such a conference.Dance dance as much as possible your time will not last for ever.

when we have a Ambassador in Placed why should the FM attend, also this conference is a useless one for county like us to attend what is this man going to achieve there? The reason is he became the minister only to globe trotting I guess he asked this portfolio so SLPP was gladly offering him this because he did all the dirt work for them.

Honestly this is very obvious is an unwanted, unproductive wastage of tax payers money where definitely there is an ambassador in that country or bordering country who can attend as a courtesy.Very sad!! Where does the countryand people stand if money is wasted for pleasure trip as we see at first sight!!
