Anura must probe Ranil’s assets declaration as first task: Handunnetti
Colombo, August 23 (Daily Mirror)- Claiming that President Ranil Wickremesinghe had declared his assets and liabilities in a decietful manner, NPP politburo member Sunil Handunnetti said today that Anura Kumara Dissanayake must investigate into Ranil Wickremesinghe's assets and liabilities as the first task after assuming office as the President.
He told a news conference that people will not believe the assets and liabilities declared by the President.
Responding to a question that assets and liabilities declared by the President is less than assets and liabilities declared by NPP Presidential candidate Anura Kumara Dissanayake, he said people will not believe that.
"Do you think people will believe that the assets and liabilities declared by the President is less than the assets and liabilities declared by NPP Presidential candidate Anura Kumara Dissanayake? Ranil has tricked here also. After becoming the President, Anura Kumara Dissanayake as the first task, must investigate into whether the assets and liabilities declared by Wickremesinghe is correct. Money defrauded through the Central Bank bond scam may be in other accounts," he said.
